Steps To Backup IE7 Settings

To compete with Firefox, Safari, and the Chrome, Microsoft updated their browser Internet Explorer to Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) with most advanced browsing and security features. The latest version along with more advanced features also retained the settings such as Favorites, which allows the users create a database of frequently visited websites; cookies and Feeds, which stream updated content from other websites into IE7. Follow the instruction briefed below to manage the new IE.

Instructions to back up Internet Explorer settings

• Launch Internet Explorer Web browser 7 by double-clicking the IE7 icon on your desktop or by clicking the shortcut on the quick access launch bar. You can also launch the application from the Start menu. To launch the application from the Start menu, click on the Start orb placed on the bottom left corner of the home screen. From the Start menu, select the label that reads All Programs. From the All Programs label, select the label that reads Internet Explorer Web browser 7.
• From the IE7 toolbar placed on top of the page, select the label that reads File. From the File dropdown, select the label that reads Import/Export. Hit the Next option when prompted to proceed to the Import/Export Selection application window.
• From the Import/Export Selection application window, select the setting you intend to back up. Click the setting that you want to back up. Hit the Export cookies option to backup the cookies. Similarly, click on the label that reads Export Favorites to backup the details of the websites you view regularly. Now, to create the backup of your feeds, click on the option labeled Export Feeds. Hit the Next option to proceed to the next stage of backing up IE7 settings.
• Now, to select the destination folder for your backup, place a tick mark in the box next to the label that reads Export to file or address. Click on the browse option, and navigate to the destination folder for your backup. Hit the Next button to proceed and wait until IE7 finishes backing up your settings.
• Hit the Finish option to complete the backup process and to save the changes made. If you wish to make more backup, return to the second step.
